Welcome to the Redwood Arts Council’s
28th concert season!
How time flies! It seems like only yesterday that the Kronos Quartet “Dazzled Occidental”. Now, 25 years later, the Redwood Arts Council is bringing back this vital energetic and cool ensemble that has changed our idea of what a string quartet can be. During the ensuing seasons, we have presented concerts that moved, challenged and entertained our audiences, both by the magnificence of the music being performed and by the powerful perceptions being communicated by the performers.
Once again, we have kept our promise to you – our audience, donors and community– to maintain the quality of performances that you have grown to expect. We hope you will enjoy the upcoming 28th musically stimulating season which will include performances by:
The Kronos, Vilnius & Jupiter String Quartets
The San Francisco Saxophone Quartet
Violinist, Axel Strauss, Cellist Tanya Tomkins & Pianist, Eric Zivian
Clarinetist, Jose Franch-Ballester
Cellist Denise Djokic & Pianist David Jalbert
Konevets Quartet, a Russian a cappella ensemble
Linda Tillery & Nina Gerber
Kathleen Kraft baroque flute, David Morris cello & Phebe Craig, harpsichord
We are deeply grateful for your years of enthusiastic support. Without your participation, we would not have been able to expand the classical music scene in Sonoma County. Moreover, without you, we cannot continue to fulfill our mission of presenting a diversified program of outstanding chamber music in a small setting with near perfect acoustics.
In order to meet this season’s increasing artist fees and production costs, we need to increase our ticket prices. We are offering you, as a member benefit, discounts that allow you to take advantage of last year’s prices and in return, we are asking you to make as generous a financial donation as you possibly can. Your reward will be the unparalleled joy of music!
Thank you in advance for your support.
