Axel Strauss, the first German artist ever to win the Naumburg Violin award, joins the seamless musical partnership of Tanya Tomkins and Eric Zivian for a memorable evening of sublime artistry, and outstanding music making. Past performances of Tomkins and Zivian have been described as transmitting deep emotion and drama. Strauss is a virtuoso to be reckoned with and his interpretive prowess is delightful. Tomkins is described as “a performer who combines an intense dramatic fire with Apollonian poise" Zivian’s piano playing is extraordinary, full of color and energy.
