Kronos Quartet
Vital energetic and cool
—Musical America

Friday, September 28, 2007 - 8:15 p.m.
The Glaser Center, Santa Rosa

Boisterously breaking down nearly every conceivable genre barrier that ever existed for the string quartet, this audacious ensemble has changed our perception of not just what a string quartet can be, but what music can be in the 21st –century global village. Any concert by the Kronos Quartet is by definition a special event. Always on the cutting edge of what is new, Kronos straddles the boundaries between classical, popular and world music. Inexhaustible in their imagination and courage, they only seem to get better with age.

Listen to an excerpt from “Lux Aeterna” from the original music for Requiem for a Dream composed by Clint Mansell featuring Kronos Quartet
