The Jupiter String Quartet
"Their style and intonation are superb"
– Boston Globe

Saturday, March 1st, 2008 - 8:15 p.m.
Occidental Community Church, Occidental

Since 2004 when they captured the Grand prize in chamber music at the Fischoff National competition, the young members of the Jupiter String Quartet have been racking up an impressive string of prizes and displaying razor edged ensemble work and imaginative depth beyond their years. Labeled an ensemble “to be watched,” The Jupiter String Quartet will be joined by the Spanish-born clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester. His playing exudes confidence with solid, immaculate technique and a rich, resonant tone.

The combination of these talented prize winners of the coveted Young Artist’s International Auditions will create a memorable evening.
